In a tweet posted today, Capcom confirmed that a Resident Evil 3 remake demo is “on the way.” The company didn’t reveal just when this demo would be available but it did tell fans to expect more details about the demo’s release “in the near future.” The Resident Evil 3 remake has an April release date and that is just over a month away so hopefully fans will be able to play the demo in the next couple of weeks.

Fans will also hope that Capcom will confirm if the Resident Evil 3 remake demo will be timed. The Resident Evil 2 remake demo was only playable for around 30 minutes which didn’t give fans much time to enjoy it. Once the demo had ended, players wouldn’t be able to play it again and so would have to wait for the full release. Some were able to get around this time limit using a crack of the demo. Most would prefer not to have to do all of this to keep playing the Resident Evil 3 remake demo but will have to wait for Capcom’s full announcement to know more.

The Resident Evil 3 remake changes some major parts about the first version of the game. The Resident Evil 3 remake will change the game’s story and it also offers a different look for Nemesis. Nemesis also seems to be a much more difficult enemy to beat in the remake as the character will be able to go all around Raccoon City.

Capcom has also suggested that Resident Evil 3’s Hunters will be different to what fans remember from the first version of the game. The enemies could deal a huge amount of damage in Resident Evil 3 and were able to attack a character’s legs, body, and head. It’s unclear if fans will be able to see much of the Hunters in the Resident Evil 3 remake demo but fans will be excited to see how different they are.

The Resident Evil 2 remake was incredibly successful and Capcom will be hoping for more sales like that with the Resident Evil 3 remake. The sales success won’t be confirmed until months after the game has been released but by letting fans try the game with a demo first, it could help the Resident Evil 3 remake sell well.
