Capcom has announced that the Ghost Survivors DLC will release this Friday, February 15. As stated previously, the additional content will be completely free to those who already own the Resident Evil 2 remake. Capcom says the update will bring additional playable characters, scenarios, as well as an entirely new mode called “Training”, which gives the player additional items and inventory space upon starting the mission.
“No Time to Mourn” centers around Robert Kendo, owner of the Kendo Gun Shop, “Runaway” features Katherine, the mayor’s daughter, and “Forgotten Soldier” introduces Ghost, a U.S.S. agent. Completing any one of the three new challenges will bring along rewards like new challenges, trophies, and aesthetic accessories.
Ghost Survivors will mark the first major update to the Resident Evil 2 remake, which released this January 25. Up until now, those who completed the game in its entirety were left with user-created mods to satisfy the void left after the story’s completion. Although, to be fair, some of the mods were arguably more terrifying than the official in-game content, like the recent Ghost of Sherry mod.
Other fans looking to get the most out of Capcom’s Resident Evil 2 remake may be on the hunt for one of the title’s many hidden Easter eggs. For instance, like in the original Resident Evil 2, Rebecca Chambers appears in a hidden photo that can be a little tricky to locate.
Resident Evil 2 is out now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
